The vision of this research is to lead to the development of novel secure communication and tracking technologies for civilian mission, in particular those of the European External Action Services. Under the overall coordination of University of Agder and with a consortium of 12 partners, the “iTRACK” project will build an integrated intelligent real-time tracking, threat identification and warning system to improve protection of responders and assets, providing information management and logistics services. TEKNOVA will contribute with new 3D visual sensing capabilities on-board humanitarian convoys for seamless situation awareness and real-time threat and risk detection. The project will start in May 2016 with duration of 3 years.
