Vacancy at Teknova within Industrial Testing

Teknova is a research and innovation institute located in the Agder region. The institute carries out private and/or public funded interdisciplinary projects for the industry, environment, and energy sectors. The main mission of Teknova is to bridge research with the technological trends and develop innovative solutions to our partners and customers.

Teknova’s offices in Grimstad are co-located with the new Mechatronics Innovation Lab (MIL) opened in 2017. MIL is owned by the University of Agder and constitutes a part of the national infrastructure for pilot testing and experimental development of products, systems, and services. Teknova is also located at Slottsquartalet in the city centre of Kristiansand, together with GCE NODE and Innoventus Sør.

Teknova will -  together with Uni Research, Christian Michelsen Research, International Research Institute of Stavanger and Agderforskning - be part of one new large Institute.  The new institute will have several locations in the South-West of Norway, and be a powerful research and innovation partner for our customers and partners. The ambition is to grow both nationally and internationally.

Due to increased project activity we are looking for new colleagues to strengthen our team;

  1. Department manager/group leader for Industrial Testing


  2. Scientists/engineers with expertise and/or relevant experience within:

  • Product testing; planning, execution, analysis, and reporting

  • Real time system design

  • Machine vision for real-time industrial applications

  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics

  • Automation/optimization of industrial processes and systems

  • Condition monitoring and condition based maintenance

  • Design and development of applications of drones (UAS) in various industrial deployment

Experience from project acquisition and management of large research and/or industrial projects is preferable.

Qualifications (all positions):

PhD or Master degree within natural science/engineering. Industrial/research experience is preferred; however, we will also consider young candidates with limited work experience.

Some of the positions will require fluent Norwegian language skills.
