Katarina Grujic majored in Physical Electronics from the University of Belgrade and has a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Tromsø. She also has a doctor’s degree in Physics from the University of Tromsø. Her thesis was on integrated optics. She worked with manipulation and sorting of microscopic particles using optical waveguides. The most important area of use for this particular technique is “Lab-on-a-Chip”, a common name for a miniature component able to do common chemical and biochemical experiments. Katarina has also worked as a post.Doc at the University of Tromsø.
Katarina is the leader of Teknova’s measuring technology team. She has knowledge in electronics, optoelectronics, laser technology, detection theory and instrumentation. Katarina has experience from work in clean-room and optic laboratories. She is interested in optics, fibre optics, laser and ultrasound measuring techniques, and especially fascinated by techniques combining several different techniques. Katarina has been working in Teknova since 2008.
