Thore Jarle Sørensen is Chief Scientist at Teknova.
He majored in Solid State Physics, and holds a doctor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Thore has broad experience from project management and building consortiums. Financing schemes within R&D is one of his expertise areas, especially within Energy- and Process Technology.
Thore has a background from GE Healthcare as manager and researcher.
In Teknova, he has been cooperating with companies such as Xstrata, Elkem, Eramet, 3B, Alcoa, Saint-Gobain, Farsund Aluminium Casting as well as several Universities, Colleges and companies that enhance and develop new processes or process equipment. His work has included laboratory-, pilot- and full scale processes.
Thore is a member of both R&D- and Energy Forum at Arena Eyde, member of the Innoventus competence network, and he has a wide network within Industry and Academia, both national and international.
Thore is frequently used as a mentor for students, external examiner and PhD opponent. Among his professional interest you will find Idea-generating processes, process intensification, new reactor- and separation technologies, energy efficiency improvement and building up cooperation constellations.
Thore is working at Teknovas location in Kristiansand and Grimstad.
