Ulrik Thisted holds a master’s degree in technical physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). In his master thesis he calculated the ground state energy and derived thermodynamics properties in spin polarized liquid Helium-3. His also hold a doctoral degree in technical physics from NTNU, the title of his thesis was “Magnetic and thermodynamics properties of layered and thin film superconductors”.
Ulrik has worked several years in Elkem Solar with research, pilot plant operation, process design and optimization for the production of solar grade silicon. He has also worked in Manpower Engineering doing structural calculation of equipment for the petroleum industry. His main expertise is in understanding and modelling industrial processes and process equipment, he has experience from both high temperature and low temperature applications in various fields.
He joined the mathematical modelling group in Teknova in January 2015.
Ulrik is working at Teknovas location in Kristiansand.
