Klaus Schöffel has through his whole career been engaged in, and been working with, research in an industrial perspective and has his PhD within theoretical chemistry from Freie Universitet in Berlin. He has a working background from Norsk Hydro’s corporation research centre, where he among other things has worked within chemical modelling, catalysis and renewable energy (hydrogen, sun, wind and bio). Klaus has been heading research in Norsk Hydro, director for Energy within Norske Skog and CEO in Norske Skog’s biofuel company Xynergo. He came from the position as technology director in Gassnova SF, where he among other things had responsibility for administration of the governmental CLIMIT fund for R&D of CCS technology. Klaus is Executive member in IEA’s – Greenhouse Gas R&D program and member of environment technology advisory board in NHD.
Klaus is working at Teknovas location in Grimstad and Kristiansand.
